Hon. Poasi Mataele Tei appointed as the new Minister for Public Enterprises

Mr. Poasi Mataele Tei of Hofoa, Tongatapu was appointed by the Prime Minister, Hon. Samuela 'Akilisi Pohiva as the new Minister for Public Enterprises in January 2015.
Honorable Tei currently holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economic, Accounting and Financial Management from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji. He also has an International Airport Profession. Prior to working with us, he was in several senior positions among private sectors and some of the Public Enterprises.
Honorable Tei began his career in 1991 at the Statistic Department for two years before moving on to work for Tonga Co-operative Federation Ltd holding several senior positions which included, Chief Accountant and EDP Manager. He was the Group Accountant for Pacific Finance and Investment Limited in 1998. He continued on his career to Tonga Water Board as the Chief Accountant from 2001 to 2006. Lastly in 2007 he was the Director for Tonga Airport Limited Finance and Administration Department up to 2014.
Honorable Tei holds other denominations in the Church such as the Lay Preacher, General Secretary, Choir Master, Sunday School Teacher for Free Wesleyan Church of Hofoa. He is also the Member's Parliament for Tongatapu 6 Constituency.
