New fenders replacement for Queen Salote International Wharf
Today, 17 December, 2014, the Ports Authority Tonga Ltd completed the repair work and replacement of the fenders around Wharf No. 1 and No. 2 of the Queen Salote International Wharf.

A small occasion to highlight the completion of the work was attended by the PAT Chairman, Mr Stephen Edwards and directors of the Board.
In a short remark, the General Manager of the Ports Authority Tonga Ltd, Mr. Mosese Lavemai, thanked the Board for their support and for approving and prioritising this project, as critical to the safety of the operations around QSW.
The General Manager also commented that, the shipping agents and visiting vessels will now enjoy the new fender and appreciate the safety of vessels berthed alongside at Queen Salote Wharf.
The repair work project was at an estimated cost of TOP$500,000.00.
