World Bank and SPC Maritime Transport team completed Tonga visit
Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Steve Edwards, Acting General Manager; Mr. 'Alo Maileseni and Human Resources Manager; Mrs. Mele Lavemaau welcomed the Wold Bank and SPC team at the Ports Authority Head Office in Nuku’alofa.
While in Nuku’alofa, the team visited local Shipping and Transports agents, conducting a survey of the maritime transports sector, before presenting their findings at the Ports Authority head office today Friday 21 March, 2014.
The visiting team comprised of Mr. Hakaumotu Fakapela from SPC Maritime Transports, and Mrs. Kalolaine Fusimalohi and two other colleagues from the World Bank Group.
Elsie Fukofuka accompanied the team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Agents from local shipping agents also attended including the Operation Manager of Pacific Forum Line; Mr. Latu Lui and Manager of Dateline Transam Shipping Ltd.; Mr. Fine Tohi.
