Ports Authority Management continuing in development of the Queen Salote 'Free Trade Zone' area this year as a priority in order to improve efficiency but most importantly to reduce heavy dust in this area.

This development of the 'Free Trade Zone' have two phases for this project. The first phase is the concreting of the area for containers to be inspected and deveined and the second phase is the tar sealing of the remaining area of the free trade zone.

The Ports Authority Tonga Construction team to carry out the Labour while Royco Readymix Concrete Co. Ltd. provides the ready mix concrete.

The project total cost for $270,000.00 pa'anga and work is on scheduled as they completed concreting the first part of the Free Trade Zone and continued to the second part.
