Ports Authority continued assistance to the community of Ha’apai
Ports Authority, Tonga continued to give assistance and support to the community of Ha’apai after the devastation caused by Cyclone Ian.
Ten(10) containers arrived at the wharf between the months of January 2014 and February 2014 from the Tongan community in New Zealand for the Ha’apai relief operations.
As part of the ongoing community services provided by the Authority, the Authority granted the exemptions of wharfage and handling fees.
This is not the first time the authority has granted such assistance and support. It has previously donated $5000 dollars for the Ha’apai relief operations.
ENDS.
